We are often asked "where do we buy our Land Rovers from?" and "Who buys our Land Rovers?" - so below are some monthly highlights. Please feel free to bookmark this page and come back from time to time to see what we are up to and what is "new" |
Tuesday 2nd March
Our X - Coastguard Series III B870 OJT is loaded up and ready for a delivery to Hyde Park in London:
A return journey Via Bristol to collect another rare factory produced V8 - 90 County Station wagon:
Thursday March 4th
Whilst many of our Land Rovers are sold "over the phone" and "over the Internet", walk in visitors are always welcome, as was the case today. After a tour around our workshop facilities and stock, our low mileage series III - ODE 411Y was selected, and after final preparation will be moving to its new home in Derbyshire.
Friday March 5th
We try our best to match vehicles to potential clients needs, and a caller from North Carolina, USA - looking for a good useable Series Land Rover, seemed to suit our series III - B416 NAB, which was bought at the end of February, but not yet advertised for sale.
After an exchange of details and photographs a list of preparation work was drawn up and a sale agreed.
Saturday 13th March
Following a quiet week, it often all happens at once. Today was one of those days !
Our nicely preserved early 110 Pick Up is off to pastures new in the USA. It has been purchased by Jeff and Leanne, who have been friends and customers of ours since 1999, this will be their third purchase, and the one they are finally going to take back to the US after 13 years living and working in the UK.
TVK 964M - has been purchased "over the phone" and will soon be seen cruising the highways and byways of Suffolk.
The nicely restored (and quite rare) 109 stage 1 - V8 that came to us in September last year has now been recomissioned and delivered to a new owner in North Yorkshire:
In exchange we brought back this 1957 Series I - 109" truck Cab - subject to an older restoration and getting hard to find.
Final transaction of the day - was this restored (on a galvanised chassis) 1958 Series II - 88" soft top - purchased and collected from Oxfordshire:
Monday 15th
We are often asked about 2 door classic Range Rovers, and if we can "find" them for people.
My reply is always the same . . . you cannot "find them" - you have to wait for them to "find you".
Luckily today is one of those days, and we have purchased a 2 door, in probably the most desireable colour "Lincoln Green" - an best of all - 60,000 miles from new !
