Most Land Rover enthusiasts will have heard of the Defender 50th Anniversary model – they were all V8 Automatics, finished in Atlantis Blue ?
Well….Not quite ….
In total some 1071 50th Anniversary Defenders were built, 385 for the UK market and the rest for Japan Europe and the Middle East.
Being enthusiasts ourselves, we are always interested in what our customers are up to.
Jeremy is a regular visitor to Land Rover Centre, and when he told us recently that he was in the process of importing a 50th Defender from Japan – Our interest was raised !
We have been following the progress, and today were pleased to see that everything has gone well, and Jeremy has collected his Defender from Liverpool Docks.
It will be extremely rare to see a “White” 50th Anniversary Defender on UK roads – but that was the standard colour for the Japanese market.
