It’s been a busy week – since Dan Coll contacted us on Tuesday to explain the concept of “The Middle Aged Road Trip” to us, and also to ask for our help.
4 years ago, actors Dan Coll and Dan Carey came up with the idea of setting off to Gibraltar in an old Land Rover – with £10 in their pocket.
They would be meeting up with celebrities along the way, and earning the money at each stop to pay for the next leg of their journey.
Everything was in place until at the last minute, they Land Rover they had planned to take had proven unsuitable – Would we step in and help them out with the loan of a 1960’s Land Rover ??
Of course we would !
The trip is in aid of the Samaritans and will start in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire at 4 pm on the 5th of October when we set off to Manchester, Dover, Paris, Spain and finally finishes in Gibraltar with a show on 15th October.

Pictures show Dan & Dan, along with Dan Coll’s daughter Sadie when they came over today to meet their Land Rover for the first time.
They will be covering some 1,800 miles over the next 2 weeks !!
