Today we had a photo shoot with Jack from Classic car Buyer and our 1971 Range Rover Classic.

We would like to think that the recent sale of Range Rover No 1 will have set a new benchmark for Classic 2 Door Range Rovers, as well perhaps as introducing new classic car enthusiasts to the idea of owning a very usable classic.

With so many “poor” and “modified” examples around, it’s easy to forget what an absolute delight an original and unmolested example is like to drive.

Jack and I set off from Lockwood, in search of a suitable backdrop for some photo’s.

We were soon out on the moors, with long winding bends and open countryside – The perfect setting to put the Rover V8 engine and Range Rover handling through there paces.

Jack was surprised at how well the V8 engine pulled the 2 tons of Range Rover along, and how well it handled the bends. None of the excessive body roll that myths are made of !
