One of the most rare Land Rover options ever available, and to find a one owner example, with such low mileage and in such original and unspoilt condition is one our best ever discoveries.

Purchased from the original owner, this Land Rover has just been brought out of 5 years dry storage, and is currently being recomissioned in our workshops.

Enthusiasts who follow our site will know that we have a great knack of unearthing these treasures, and this one will not dissapoint.

Based on the 5 door station wagon, this Land Rover would have gone from the factory, direct to Dormobile for the conversion.

Features include the elevating roof, with 2 x single bunk beds, the 5 seats will convert to either a double bed or two singles. In the rear is a wash basin and 2 gas ring cooker, plus wardrobe and water storage facilities.

As well as all the original Dormobile features, this Land Rover is also fitted with a period radio and seperate cassette player to complete the 70's feel.

As if all that was not enough, all the original paperwork accompanies the vehicle, including original sales brochure (a rare item on its own), Dormobile instruction booklet (explains the operation of all the roof, seats, bunk beds, cooker etc.), original purchase invoice, original suppliers brochure (showing the other "camper" options available at the time), original owners handbook, original "Passport to service", and of course the original and up to date V5 registration documents.

This Land Rover really is ready for anything, either a practical camper, or a unique show vehicle - the choicie is yours !

The term "time warp" is often over used, but I think on this occasion it is the only way to describe this great survivor.

This vehicle has just been featured in May 2008 Land Rover Monthly - thanks to the magazine and Les Roberts.

REBUILT ONTO GALVANISED CHASSIS

This vehicle was dispatched from Land Rover August 1973, and delivered to Martin Walter Limited (for Dormobile conversion). It was then returned to Land Rover, registered and issued the registration number TXC 300M, before being delivered as a personal export vehicle to Sir Edward Peck in Belgium on 30th April 1974. Sir Edward Peck was at the time, the permenant British Representative to the North Atlantic Council.

On his retirement, February 1976, Sir Edward Peck returned to the UK, and the vehicle was re-issued it's original number TXC 300M.

Sir Edward Peck owned the vehicle for over 20 years, before passing it on to the second owner in 1995. There is a huge history file with this Land Rover, including correspondace between the 2 owners negotiating the sale and purchase of the vehicle, plus the original sales invoice when new.

Although with such low mileage the vehicle was mechanically sound, the new owner had the body rebuilt onto a new galvanised chassis, and there is a photographic record of the ground up restoration.

All in all this is another rare vehicle with the benefit of a galvanised chassis, low mileage and with excellent provenance - which will give many many more years of service.

Wow - another unusual find, this is 127 inch Ambulance Crash Rescue 2/3 stretcher. The original chassis extension from 110" to 127" was carried out by Land Rover Special vehicles, and then the ambulance body was built by Locomotors Ltd.

Stationed at RAF Northolt supply squadron.

This vehicle is still in exceptional condition and is ready to show, or could be converted to an overlander or a camper.

This conversion is based on a 300 TDi diesel engined Land Rover - to provide maximum reliability and ease of maintenance.

Conversion features 9 rear high back seats, each row higher than the row in front to allow better vision.

Front seats re-covered in Ripstop canvas to match, to provide a water resistant, and tear resistant hard wearing seat.

Seat framework is powder coated for durability.
