DNP 258N - 1974 - 88" Series III - LIGHTWEIGHT 2286cc 4cyl Petrol 68,000 MILES - BELEIVED TO BE GENUINE REBUILT ON GALVANISED CHASSIS We have been quite blessed of late, and have managed to find some really exceptional Lightweights. The Air Portable or 1/2 ton as it is also called, was only supplied to the MOD, and unspoilt or nicely restored examples are getting more and more difficult to find as the years pass. This particular example has been carefully restored by a previous owner, the original (rust free) chassis has been galvanised, and the bodywork has been restored to show standard. It was in service at RAF Lyneham from 1975, until its release in 1983. It has only covered 3,000 miles in the last 8 years, so we are given to believe that the indicated mileage of 68,000 is correct. This Land Rover is practical enough to use, but good enough to show and includes:
I do not think we have ever offered for sale such a good example. To be sold fully serviced with 12 months MOT |
