All back to normal after the Christmas and New Year Holidays, all staff “Present and Correct” and looking forwards to 2011 !
Whilst we always enjoy hearing from our clients and the Land Rovers we have previously sold – it is not always good news. Unfortunately whilst Bev and John were abroad travelling, some unscrupulous person has taken it upon themselves to steal the canvas hood and tailgate from GAS 967 – A very popular Series II we sold back in July last year. I can assure any potential buyers of these Classic Land Rovers that this is a very rare occurance !
Although we keep normal office hours, it is sometimes necessary to be flexible, as was the case this evening – Peter who works in Dubai had been struggling to get back home for the Christmas / New Year period due to the weather and airport closures in the UK. He finally made it home on Christmas eve, which meant his time in the UK was limited, and the day he had put aside to visit us and see the progress of the 1970 Series IIA Land Rover we are restoring for him had been spent with his family. A last minute “Flying visit” was arranged, and we were happy to “Stay open late” to accomodate his modified plans. Peter is delighted with the work we have done, and looks forward to taking delivery of the Land Rover on his next trip back to the UK.
Wednesday 5th January 2011

An early morning start for one of our buyers, and a trip to Hertfordshire to repatriate “Lucille” – a 1978 Series III Station wagon that we originally bought in 1999. This Land Rover has done a genuine 38,000 miles from new and is an original 7 seater station wagon.
Friday 7th January 2011
Jeff Young and his family travel over from Ireland to collect SMK 910F – The 1968 Series IIA 109″ Station Wagon that they purchased over the phone in December. This Land Rover has an exceptionally low mileage of 13,000 ! With the weather turning again today – it looks like they have the ideal vehicle for the drive back home ! Jeff intends to strip and repaint the Land Rover back to its original Deep Bronze Green colour – we look forwards to future updates.
Tuesday 11th January 2011
KDO 341F – the 1968 Series IIA Land Rover purchased by Ron in London at the end of November has now had the roof and wheels painted Green, and new General Grabber tyres fitted, and is off to his home in Gloucestershire.
Wednesday 12th January 2011
Back in August 2010 we purchased this very rare 1956 Brockhouse Trailer. They were an approved accessory and supplied new through Land Rover dealers. This particular trailer has survived well, as it was originally Home Office reserve stock, and then moved to Staffordshire Search & Rescue – where it had limited use and was stored inside. Staffordshire Search & Rescue have been waiting for a replacement trailer to arrive, and we have been happy to wait until they were ready to relinquish it.
It is now back at Land Rover Centre, and is currently advertised on EBAY: EBAY ADVERT
This would make the perfect accessory to your Series Land Rover !

Peter Mullett of Baltimore has been a good friend and customer of the Land Rover Centre since he bought his first Series II from us over 15 years ago. He also has a lovely 109″ 5 door station wagon we rebuilt for him in 2001. So I was very pleased to receive the pictures below over the weekend of “Heartbeat” – the series I he purchased from us in 2003, that gets its name from the TV series that it featured in. Since buying “Heartbeat” from us Peter, in conjunction with his good friend Mark Raspi has carried out a ground up restoration – resulting in the stunning Land Rover you see below.

Tuesday 25th January 2011
Back in August 2009, we sold a very original Land Rover 109″ Carawagon LPD 606K to Julian in Mid Wales. Today we received a few photographs of the Land Rover that he has taken over the last 18 months, and as you can see he has been enjoying the Land Rover, and using it for the purpose it was originally designed ! A big “Thanks” to Julian for sharing these pics.
