Today we were extremely pleased to meet Kevin and Mary, who had travelled over from Ireland to bring us their 1971 (Tax Exempt) short wheel base “Searle Safari Carawagon”.
The names “Searle” and “Carawagon” are well known in Land Rover circles, but usually associated with the far more common 109″ Land Rover conversions.
Many Land Rover enthusiasts will be unaware that a SWB 88″ conversion actually existed.
This ’71 model will be checked over and advertised on our “classic Land Rovers for sale” page as soon as possible.
