Back in December, Torge from Berlin, purchased DOK 903V a 1980 Land Rover Series III Soft top.

The Land Rover has been completely rebuilt, including a Galvanised Chassis.

Today, Torge and his friend Matthias travelled from Germany to collect the Land Rover.

They spent a couple of hours looking around our premises and obviously checking out the Land Rover – before setting off for the long drive home.

We look forwards to receiving pictures and updates once Torge has registered the Land Rover in Germany.

UPDATE – Monday 11th February:

Hello Mark,

“DOK and me arrived back to Berlin yesterday evening. It was really a hard and long trip with sun, rain and snow. But after adapting to DOK, I mostly had a lot of fun on that trip and since today it is all OK.

Information for other customers who want to bring a car to Germany by themselves:

The car needs UK plates and registration. With a copy of the Registration they go to the ADAC (Biggest German automobile club) and buy an “Grenzversicherung” (border-insurance) for currently EURO 105,00. With this insurance they are allowed to drive the car for 30 days, all over West-Europe with the UK plates. Very easy.

I will try to get the German registration in between the next two weeks and will give you a call and send you fotos then.

Dear Mark, DOK is really a nice Landy and in that condition as I hoped-for. It is well restored, without loosing the touch of authenticity and patina.

Once more THANK YOU for all.

Best regards to Huddersfield

Torge”
