Thursday 3rd May
Back in February we sold DHJ 274B – a very crisp 1964 Series IIA – to Martin. As he travels abroad for business, it was agreed that we would store the Land Rover until he was back in the UK again and able to take delivery personally. This evening, we took a pleasant drive to York to meet Martin again and hand over his new “toy”.
Sunday 6th May
Firstly, CVL 913X the 1981 Series III that was purchased by Iain in March, is delivered to Buckinghamshire. As well as the usual preparation in our workshops, it has now been converted to a hard top (from a truck cab) with station wagon back door, and the spare mounted on the bonnet.
Second, A821 KSH – a 1983 Series III Petrol hard top is collected from Surrey. This Land Rover has been rebuilt onto a galvanised chassis, and will be offered for sale once it has been through our workshop.
Finally, a trip to Essex to buy RPV 552W – a 1981 Short Wheel Base petrol. Rebuilt on a galvanised chassis, in Deep Bronze Green with sand coloured soft top.

Wednesday 9th May
At the end of last month, Mark who works in Munich purchased BKX 428A – a lovely 1961 Series II “over the phone”. As he is back in the UK for a week, he took the chance to come up and visit to view his new Land Rover in person.
It was great to meet Mark again – he has been a loyal customer for over 12 years, and this will be his 4th purchase from us.
Once prepared, we will have it transported to Munich for him.
Thursday 10th May
We always enjoy hearing from our previous customers. David from Virginia, USA originally made contact with us over 10 years ago, when we helped ship a Series III SWB for him. Then in 2006, we carried out some refurbishment work on his 109″ V8 before shipping it state-side for him.
Today he needs some parts for his fuel pump – which we should be able to find for him. He also took the opportunity to send us a snap of his V8 – still looking good despite them attending 4 serious off road events every year !

Saturday 19th May
We always have a warm welcome for visitors, but especially so for overseas visitors. Today we had a visit from Robert Soevik, Vidar Eriksen & Ronny Jacobsen from Norway, and their friend Neil Mulkeen from Rotherham.
They are all keen Range Rover enthusiasts and between them own 4 suffix A Range Rovers and 2 Monteverdi Range Rovers.
They also run a couple of web sites that Range Rover enthusiasts may find of interest:
