MVS 500V – 1980 Series 3 Soft Top – Very Original
If you are looking for a very good un-restored Land Rover that is usable without being too “Precious”, then “MVS” may fit the bill.
Having had only 2 owners from new, and covered a genuine 85,000 miles, I think you would struggle to find a more “honest” example at this price.
Originally a truck cab pick up, we have carried out a conversion to a full soft top, so this Land Rover benefits from a new sand canvas, rear bench seats and our seat belt safety bar.
Finished in Marine Blue, and sporting the original factory paint this Land Rover is very presentable, with no major knocks or dents, but does have some paint loss as you would expect after 33 years !
However, it only adds to the character rather than detracting from the appearance.
As you would expect from Land Rover Centre – The chassis and bulkhead are excellent and do not require any repairs.
Sits very well on a very good set of quality Michelin 7.50 x 16 tyres, with a bonnet mounted spare.
So, to sum up – If you are looking for a Land Rover you can use and is presentable without being “too smart” – then MVS might fit the bill.
