David purchased a lovely 1981 Series 3 Land Rover from us almost 2 years ago to the day. He recently contacted us with a question on tyre options and we were happy to help and advise.
He kindly sent us a couple of pictures of the Land Rover enjoying the Orleans’ sunshine.
In one of the photographs, you can see the Land Rover’s cousin – a 78 Toyota Land Cruiser.
The 3rd picture shows the Land Rover at Liverpool docks – on the first leg of its journey out to the USA.
So, what was the question?
Hi Derek, It was just about the tyre size he could go up to, and also if he had to keep the inner tubes. It currently has 205 x 16 radial tyres, and I explained he could go up to the 7.50 x 16 (LWB size), but I would recommend 225 x 16. Also he needs to retain tubes.
